MLL3 Complex is a complex catalyzing the transcription-activating methylation of histone H3 lysine-4 and comprising a catalytic, SET domain-containing subunit, MLL3, plus the subunits of an activity-enhancing sub-complex—WDR5, RbBP5, Ash2L and DPY-30 (2 copies). MLL3 complex (or MLL4 complex) forms a part of the “activating signal cointegrator-2” (ASC-2) Complex or ASCOM, a coactivator of various nuclear receptors, and knockdown of MLLs 3 and 4 diminishes estrogen-induced expression of HOXC10, which is overexpressed in breast cancer.
