Human recombinant EED expressed in
an insect cell/baculovirus expression system with an N-terminal Strep-Flag tag.
EED functions as H3K27me3 reader within the PRC2/EED-EZH2 complex and mediates
protein-protein interactions. During development, Polycomb Repressive Complex 2
(PRC2) is the principal methyltransferase responsible for generating
trimethylated histone H3 lysine-27 (H3K27me3), an epigenetic mark essential for
programmed repression of gene expression1-5.
